WMCDC / CHDO

The Walker Montgomery C.D.C. (WMCDC) is a non profit 501 (c) (3) development corporation commonly referred to as a CHDO.  A spinoff corporation of the Gulf Coast Trade Center (GCTC), WMCDC was officially recognized  as a CHDO by the State of Texas in September, 2000.

 

Our mission is to develop and expand safe and affordable housing opportunities for qualifying families, provide opportunities and work experience for GCTC youth, and to stabilize and strengthen the economic and social infrastructure of the rural community. 

 

To date, we have built 43 homes throughout Walker and Grimes County. And, we are currently working on a four lot project in Montgomery, Texas.
