WMCDC / CHDO

The Walker Montgomery C.D.C. (WMCDC) is a non profit 501 (c) (3) development corporation commonly referred to as a CHDO.  WMCDC was officially recognized  as a CHDO by the State of Texas in September, 2000.

 

Our mission is to develop and expand safe and affordable housing opportunities for qualifying families, provide opportunities and work experience for participants ages 16-24 years of age, and to stabilize and strengthen the economic and social infrastructure of the rural community.

 

To date, we have built 45 homes throughout Walker and Grimes County. And, we are currently finishing our 4th  home in Montgomery, Texas.  We will be moving to the Hidden Forest area in Montgomery, Texas soon.
